Pixel and Types of Digital Graphics

So what is a pixel?

A pixel exists only at a point for a picture that is coloured the pixel could consist of three samples, one for each primary colour contributing to the picture that is being presented. We can not think a pixel as a square or anything other then a point. A pixel is basically a small point that is illuminating on a screen in a certain colour, there would be lots of pixels in a area to make a image. The smaller the pixels the better quality the picture is because there are lots more colours to make the image more detailed.

PSD: This is a Vector Image, a PSD file is a layered image file used in photoshop and it saves the images layer by layer instead of mashing them together to make one image because it does this it means that the person who saved it can go back and edit each layer of the image when ever they want.
WMF: Windows Metafile is an image file format originally designed for Microsoft Windows in the 1990's. Windows Metafiles are intended to be portable between applications and may contain both vector graphics and bitmap components.
